Rent the Gallery!

Ground Floor—Firehouse Gallery

The Firehouse Gallery has been central to BCA’s identity since it was opened in 1995. The gallery’s mission is to promote excellence, experimentation, and education in all forms of contemporary art. The Firehouse Gallery fulfills this mission by presenting thought-provoking exhibitions, supporting innovative and emerging artists, and engaging the public through exposure to high-quality artwork, exhibition-related discussions, and arts activities. Much current art has historically been misunderstood, disliked, and rejected in its time. Firehouse Gallery exhibitions provide important contextualization of contemporary art and encourage critical discussions. Exhibitions and education programming are part of our ongoing effort to build and sustain audiences for contemporary art outside of a major urban center.

About Mallory, Events Coordinator

Quick bio about one of the four Event Staff:

Mallory is a part-time Events Coordinator for the BCA Firehouse Center for the Visual Arts. Mallory is no stranger to the events industry after spending 3 years as an Event Hostess at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington, VT, which taught her the importance of an Events Department at a non-profit site. At both locations Mallory is responsible for supporting the Event Manager by facilitating and acting as host for personal and community events, assisting with the management of internship programs, and creating successful client/vendor relations.

Passionate about non-profit organizations, Mallory works full-time at Saint Michael’s College in the Office of Admission. In this role, Mallory manages all social networking activities for prospective student recruitment, works with current students in the Founder’s Society Club, and manages the NY and Western MA territories.
